I Believe In...

I've been thinking a lot about that Audrey Hepburn quote (see previous post), since I posted it. I quite like it actually. So... I decided to make one of my own.

But, I liked Audrey's so much [first name basis!] that I had to keep hers at the forefront of mine:

“I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles.”

I believe (in all of that and...) in long conversations with good friends. I believe in laughing longer and harder than necessary. I believe that all batter bowls should be licked cleaned. I believe in riding that fine line that sits on too much fun and just enough work.  I believe in compliments, getting them but mainly giving them. I believe that love will outlast all things. I believe that moving forward is the only option. I believe that families are forever. I believe in the beach and going as frequently as possible. I believe that money should always be used on/for what you love. I believe in traveling often. I believe in spreading happiness. I believe in serving others. I believe in smiles.  I believe that you always have a choice. I believe that there is a God and He has a plan. I believe that who we were isn't near as important as who we've become. I believe in seeing and creating miracles in every day. I believe that limitations are self imposed. I believe in dreaming big. I believe that we are always capable of more than we can imagine. I believe that people come first. I believe in friendship. I believe in saying at least one kind thing, every hour. I believe.. in making each day count.

What do you believe in?

  1. Well, I can't write as much as you did but I believe in much of the same and much more.

I believe in loving your children more than yourself. I believe in caring more for their happiness than your own. I believe that love makes you happy and not money, although money helps:). I believe that God loves us even when we don't love ourselves. I believe that when we turn to him all things are possible. I believe that having one wonderful daughter can bring you more happiness than having two really good ones! I believe that a good piece of Italian Cream Cake and a glass of Coke Zero can make most problems tolerable. I believe that sweet boys can warm your heart and bring you much joy! I believe that we stress over the big things and yet it is the little things that bring us the most happiness. I believe that having a husband that thinks you hung the moon, is pretty awesome. I believe that one person can change another persons life, for good or bad. And, I believe that true faith comes during the trial and not before.

Well, I could keep going and going as most "old people" could but I will stop for now!

  2. I believe in never giving up on your dreams. I believe in loving often with all your heart. I believe in caring for everyone around you, despite what they've done to hurt you. I believe in reading- every day, and every moment that you can. I believe in traveling and experiencing life in the grandest ways possible. I believe in expecting the most of your self and failing. I believe that you'll never know understand yourself better than when you try to understand and love another person as much as yourself. I believe in poetry. I believe in music I believe in nature. I believe that there is goodness in the world and that beauty is everywhere we look because God loves us.

  3. I believe my daughter may be wise beyond her years. I believe in family wisdom and that it goes both ways. I believe life is far less about the "things" and much more about the "people". I believe in the love that is in a family. I believe in the beauty that is all around us if we will only look. I believe there are precious "gems" all around if we will only look. One of my dad's favorite things to say about money not buying happiness is that if someone gave us a million dollars, we would be far worse off than we are now. One of his favorite quotes from the play "The Matchmaker" is, "Money is like manure. It does no good unless you spread it around and help little things grow." I believe in being true to myself. I believe that life is a journey and not a destination and so enjoy the ride.

And I know, I love my family!

  4. I believe all humans have the same rights and should be treated equally. I believe in knowledge and independence. I believe in family and hugging as often as possible. I believe in always laughing. I believe in emotion. I believe that sports bring people together. I believe in being who you are and not being ashamed. I believe in love. I believe in a nice glass of wine. I believe in education. I believe that we should not be satisfied with not knowing answers - we should never just believe what we're taught. I believe in curiosity and asking questions and never being satisfied. I believe in being everything we can be with the time we have and I believe in following your dreams.
